The C20 Brazil Midterm Meeting will take place on July 1st and 2nd at Casa Firjan in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This meeting represents the culmination of global civil society’s political coordination efforts as part of its strategy to influence the G20.
The aim is to present and reflect on the policy recommendations created by the 10 (ten) thematic Working Groups within the C20 Brazil 2024.
The first day of the meeting will be live-streamed for organizations involved in the working groups that are unable to attend in Rio de Janeiro.

Established in 2013, the C20’s primary objective is to provide a voice for civil society within the G20, seeking solutions to protect the environment, promote socioeconomic development, ensure human rights, and uphold the principle of leaving no one behind.
For the Brazilian edition, the C20 is chaired by the Brazilian Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (ABONG), represented by Henrique Frota, Executive Director of Instituto Pólis. The C20 Sherpa is Alessandra Nilo, founder of the NGO Gestos Soropositividade Comunicação e Gênero.
The C20 Brazil Midterm Meeting is organized by ABONG and Gestos, with sponsorship from Ford Foundation, Aids Healthcare Foundation (AHF), Instituto Clima e Sociedade (iCS), and The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
